You’d be hard pressed to find a black woman who has not endured some form of sexual abuse at the hands of someone she knows, especially a family member. It’s also very common that IF she tells someone, she’ll be labeled as “fast” or asked what did she do to provoke being abused or assaulted. The family often protects the abuser. This is a very heavy burden to carry and I’m glad that you both shared your stories and offered suggestions for healing from this trauma.💗
